What's great about the program is that Chalene Johnson just jumps right in. Even the warmup in very quick and filled with a bunch of exercises. With every class there is a "new to class" option where Chalene goes over all the moves (slowly at first then picks up the tempo). Even though the tempo is slowed down it was still tough. I can tell already that I'm going to have to watch the "new to class" lessons a few times before moving on to the regular workout.
So, along with a workout I've decided to eat a lot better. My intention was to post my meal plans for the week here, but I've already failed at that! I can't find the time (I know, bad excuse) to actually sit down and get it done, but I have been making better choices and drinking Shakeology every day.
Here's a little more info about my life since it's hard to understand why this is such a big deal for me without it:
- I am 30 years old
- I have been married for 5+ years
- I have 2 bouncing boys - Ian (4) and Owen (1 1/2)
- I have 2 dogs (Guinness & Stella)
- I have my Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- I work full-time as an Accountant for a CPA firm
- I currently attend school for my M.B.A. with a focus in Finance
- I am studying to pass the C.P.A. exam (I've passed 3 of the 4 tests)
So anyways, that's it for today. Since I did my first workout last night, tonight is the second workout. I've already eaten a healthy breakfast (whole wheat English muffin with almond butter and low-sugar jelly). My snack for this morning/afternoon is a low-sodium rice cake with 1/2 a banana (slices) and a little bit of almond butter. Lunch will be a Chocolate Shakeology made with coffee, banana and a little bit of cinnamon.
You think you can? I KNOW you can! You know why? Because you ARE doing it! :) And I personally know Ger and Kelley and I think they are awesomely inspiring! Keep up the great work! Keep posting!!!
